I have some associates who have minimal or no technical training and work experience, yet who are interested in preparedness. To help these folks specifically with shortwave reception in emergencies, I put together some notes addressing two issues: 1. How to tune sideband signals, the most popular ham radio transmission mode. 2. How to safely (avoiding damage to receivers) provide emergency receiver power. The URL for these notes is: www.randomcollection.info/ssb-tuning.pdf
